The CPU seems to be the X360s, not sure if that would be a bottleneck or not, with all the social crap going on at the same time.

Now the GPU over at neogaf all points to either a 5770 or a 4850, more powerful than the X360s but still those are from 2-3 gens ago, hardly highend

Guess I'm heading back to PCs, specially with the new GTX670

After their e3 presentation, they just cut their own throat. So so so so underwhelming.

Lol. All of there games were blatantly the same as the old ones just with one new mechanic. "New Paper Mario, this time you collect stickers!" :( I'll wait for Zelda...

Yeah. I agree with that- it was a bland presentation.

@Shadowlayer- the CPU isn't the same, really- while the 360 used a CELL processor, the U has got a custom PowerPC processor based off the POWER7 architecture, which is faster and more efficient. It won't be too much of a bottle neck.
Also, take a look at the PS3's specs at launch- a GFX chip based off the 7800GT was behind at that time, so it's only natural for a game system to use hardware that's slightly behind- why put the newest in if the system can run perfectly with a custom version of older hardware? Consoles are more efficient at games than PC's which is why they've been able to keep up (sort of). That CPU/GPU combo is really good by any standards and beats the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Let's face it, wiiu will be low graphics and won't have any "hardcore" games past a handful.

It will have mario, zelda, metroid like every system before and after.

However, this time there will be an online portal and that may be the most important part as
    1. They will never charge for online use
    2. They will never allow dlc
    3. They will allow 3ds and other platforms to integrate

Will it appeal to older gamer? not really.

At least they're fighting back the system with DLC restrictions... well, sort of.
    Insert stupid poem here.

I heard about the Power7 rumor, but that was a year ago, and meanwhile devs said it was a 3-core CPU while power7 is no less than quadcore. The only tricore powerPC I have ever heard of is Xenon.

The power7 rumor comes entirely from someone mentioning the wiiu will have some technology from watson. Here's the thing, there are TONS of technologies build into Watson and you could easily update existing chips with some of those features.

Unfortunately, this is not true. On the 3DS they already allow paid DLC for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and introduced their own paid DLC via the new Fire Emblem game.

Cell processor? Nope, the Cell is co-developed by Sony and I don't think it even existed when the 360 came out.

Add Dragon Quest to that list too.

It really felt like a big farce, first Iwata's 'laughable' presentation relied on footage from last year and then that... It begs the question about what the hell Nintendo has been doing for the past year???

Miyamotos segment at the start of the conference was good, and I like the look of Nintendo Land, everything else was incredibly forgettable.

The devs I've spoken to that have access to the WiiU dev kits haven't really inspired confidence that it will get much 3rd party support.

I was fully prepared not to get this system until I saw videos of software not shown at the conference, particularly some spectacular footage of P-100 and some fairly nice footage of that launch Mario game.

I am not enamored by the hardware at all, but some of the software I've seen will make this a hard decision for me when this launches. Hope it's not too much money.
