    Sega Saturn Video Error

    Hi All,

I have this problem with my Sega Saturn. Its not major but it is annoying.

On certain games I get like a band of graphic error across the screen?

Its a Jap modded machine & I am using the 4meg Datel Memory card.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

That surely look like RAM problem on the VDP1.

Play something like DAYTONA USA and observe where the pixels appear on the 2D surfaces or 3D models.

If it shows up on the cars, tunnels or the road surface, it's on the VDP1 memory, otherwise it's the VDP2 memory.

Ok I fire up Daytona and feed back the results.

Either way is it a simple fix do you know?

Fix will be replace whatever RAM chip is faulty. No quick fix for that. Sorry to bring the bad news.
