Gamecube mod- XBMC cube
It's not super involved, it isn't super awesome, but here's a build thread for an XBMC running Gamecube. Or, should I say a very small motherboard running XBMCubuntu in an GC case.
Specs for system-
-1.6GHz AMD fusion CPU, Dual core
-Integrated 6310 GPU
-HDMI out (x2)
etc etc. Its the board I had for sale a while back.
What I've done so far-
Gotten GC
gotten motherboard
installed and tested XBMCubuntu
What I need to do
find a gamebit screwdriver and shell the GC
install mobo into GC case
mod case for ports
get full sized DVD top case
get Gamecube to USB adapters
buy a new PSU that can actually handle the system
etc etc
Most recently completed/failed
-PSU crapped out. It was stupid to choose 9v 1.3A anyways for a full computer.
-ordered SATA HDD extenders because the board doesn't have a standard SATA port, just an HDD connector off the side (?)
And pictures of course.

Lastly, I need input on a couple things- willing to take anything/everything.
-Name for the project?
-Case colour?
-General compliments/criticism
Thanks! Will try and post an update every 3 days or so.

Real nice stuff here!! I was thinking of doing something similar. Raspberry Pi running XBMC but this will be integrated directly into my LCD TV casing.
I thought on making a portable system with my old GP32 case but I would feel bad to simply destroy a perfectly working GP32. Moreover, that baby can overclock up to 220MHz...
EDIT : A good name for your project could be GCMC, GameCube Media Center instead of Xbox Media Center.

A response! Thank you, it was getting dusty around here...
I probably won't end up using it too much, but it'll still be cool to have.
I'll have to think long for a good name as I'll probably end up painting it on to the casing. It's a good idea, but I was looking for a name rather than an abbreviation. Thanks though!
Colour combo so far- matte black with neon green/orange/blue/etc detailing. I'm leaning towards blue.

A very small update- got the HDD extender in the mail. Still no sign of a gamebit screw driver, so really there is little progress.
I don't think this needs photos.
