    Genderdysphoria

    Since most of you here don't know me personally I figured I might as well post this;
While I completely understand that everybody refers to me as a 'He' (not many many girls that go by the 'Segafreak' monniker that collect Saturn prototypes I suppose..hm?) I would appreciate if an additional 'S' could be added from now on. I've undergone the full 'procedure' over a year ago. Everything, including my ID has been changed.

I've struggled with Gender identity issues since early childhood and only found the courage to 'do something' with it five years ago.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_identity_disorder for more info.

Oh and I'm using the term 'Genderdysphoria' because the term 'Transsexual' is often linked to negative things and stuff from the x-rated parts of the internet.

Right, that's about it. Thanks for the understanding.

I just assume everyone on the Internet is male. Especially people who play Sega games.

Hahah, exactly. There's no such thing as female users outside of Facebook.

    Also @Segafreak_NL
I have a lot of respect for you for your decision. It's also very brave to announce it in this internet community, given the risk of prejudice and such. I'll make sure that the next beer I drink will be raised to you!
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Congrats on everything! I had no idea either. If I make a mistake, feel free to correct me, although I generally just call everyone a 'he', on purpose or not, so if I do mess up, sorry! But yeah, congrats!

I can't say I know what you are going/went through, but I do commend you for being brave enough to address this out in the open. However, do be prepared to be called "he" regardless of what you type here. As 7Force brought up, most people assume everyone on the internet (especially on a gaming website) is male, and not everyone is going to see this thread and know you're female, so I wouldn't take it personally.

If being referred to as "he" bothers you that much, maybe you could add a sig or something to make it less ambiguous. Maybe mention that you like collecting SEGA stuff (or whatever you like, I dunno) and that you are "The Goddess of Planet Saturn" (since that's your location, or so you claim...), or something else so most people would know to refer to you as "she". Might prevent a lot of awkward "He's a she" corrections, but if it doesn't bother you that much, then I guess it's no big deal.

That's why I try not to refer to users as "he" or "she" whenever possible, because you never really know if a person is male or female on the internet. It's better just to refer to them by their name. However, if you want us to refer to you as "she" I have no problem doing that.

Never really paid much attention to this matter, but noticed you had to correct a few times before, so it was quite obvious to me at least.
Pretty sweet you have the guts (wanted to type something else here) to openly discuss this here and I hope everything turns out for you as you expect it to be.

I wish I started earlier on, but still 25 is not too bad, I suppose. Wishing her all the best!

how do you feel about your new "apparatus" if i might ask? i mean, you're certainly happy and all after achieving what you felt right for you, but do you feel you "lost" something?

I already know someone who did this.

In my mother's native tongue, we have no noun for male or female. People are people and have been since ever.
Life choices are understood and even held special. For instance you (in our culture) would fulfill special spiritual functions
    as you have both energies.

You have my full understanding and support on your difficult road, and may you find happiness.

Having the courage to come out and say this is just showing how much strength you have. I'll always remember to add an 'S' from now on :).
