    Fullmetal Alchemist Why?

When I was a junior in high school I remember everyday after school I would walk home with a skip in my step. More FMA!
Every episode was intriguing and would fuel me to watch the next. Mother fuckers used cliffhangers and an awesome ending theme to hook me in.

Now that i'm up to episode 51 of FMA: Brotherhood. I'm going to finish, but it feels more like a grind. I see a formula.
It''ll start out of order. Whatever happened in the last episode won't be anwered until after a new plot point is introduced. Then they flashback to what I want to know.

New characters are cool, but the opening and ending themes don't fit. The translation I read was "we are all still screaming" and that got me ready for another episode. The second ending theme sounded like a Metallica song at first, but not one of them made me want to hear the song the whole way through.

I suppose it's not as interesting because I have an expectation from the first series, i'm older and expect better twists, or just maybe the manga was not as good as the anime and they're just milking FMA for more money.

I used to read Spiderman and the Xmen for the full-bodied, hot women. You know what i'm talking about.
But Manga is usually black and white and that alone offsets me from enjoying the booties and boobies.

So did anyone read the manga? Was it as good as the anime Brotherhood?

Brotherhood follows the manga. The first anime came out before the manga finished so they winged it halfway through. Brotherhood is far and away better than the original anime.
Well, it's rather brutal here. Right now we are advising all our clients to put everything they've got into canned food and shotguns.

Oh no manga purist you're wrong on this front. The first anime blew me away and will always be better now.
I will give it this though, when the Frieza saga was going on I always thought it was bullcrap nothing was happening in most episodes.
Now I know why. Same as FMA.

I recently finished all the episodes of FMA. Just loved it, much better than the original. I can say though that it does follow the manga pretty well, where the first one really fell through.

I agree that FMA: Brotherhood was MUCH better than the original, BUT I thought the original episode about Laboratory 5 was better than the Brotherhood episode about Laboratory 5.

Lab 5 was done better, night of the chimeras cry was better. Everyone dying near the end was better.

We lost lust way too soon in brotherhood.
No explanation about who she was just yet as of 51. I know who she was just never caught her name.

The only thing I really liked better in brotherhood were the new characters.
I see a lot of concepts as too simple. Drachma is too much like Russia. Xing is obviously China and has better alchemy than whitey in the west. BS

Sloth was cool, but what of Eds mom's homunculus? At least all seven sins are represented in brotherhood.
