When I was a junior in high school I remember everyday after school I would walk home with a skip in my step. More FMA!
Every episode was intriguing and would fuel me to watch the next. Mother fuckers used cliffhangers and an awesome ending theme to hook me in.
Now that i'm up to episode 51 of FMA: Brotherhood. I'm going to finish, but it feels more like a grind. I see a formula.
It''ll start out of order. Whatever happened in the last episode won't be anwered until after a new plot point is introduced. Then they flashback to what I want to know.
New characters are cool, but the opening and ending themes don't fit. The translation I read was "we are all still screaming" and that got me ready for another episode. The second ending theme sounded like a Metallica song at first, but not one of them made me want to hear the song the whole way through.
I suppose it's not as interesting because I have an expectation from the first series, i'm older and expect better twists, or just maybe the manga was not as good as the anime and they're just milking FMA for more money.
I used to read Spiderman and the Xmen for the full-bodied, hot women. You know what i'm talking about.
But Manga is usually black and white and that alone offsets me from enjoying the booties and boobies.
So did anyone read the manga? Was it as good as the anime Brotherhood?
