    Hi

Can anyone tell me if the memory of xbox v1.1, will fit into xbox v1.4?

    Regards

The RAM? Should. Personally I'd want to match the brands so that timings aren't funky just in case.

Thinking of making yourself a debug XBox?

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.

    Yes.

I think it was 1.5 or 1.6 that had incompatible ram

Pretty sure thats identical to the job I did recently.

Should have no problems (except for the soldering part)

I soldered 1.0 RAM chips on a 1.2 motherboard and the 2 sets of chips had slightly different markings. Everything is working great. 1.6 RAM chips are known to be incompatible for a RAM mod on a 1.0-1.5. I don't know about 1.5 but these were not produced for long so it's really really rare to encounter an 1.5.
