Ridiculously minor details you've noticed in games...

Doesn't really matter what they are... Just things that don't have much bearing on the overall game. For example, here are a few of mine:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES):
-Link's sprite has pink hair... I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed this. Surely this wasn't a palette restriction?

    Resident Evil (Playstation):
-In the original game, I noticed that the characters (Chris and Jill) shift their feet slightly while aiming and turning in place. It's a pretty pathetic animation, but in RE2 and 3, there is absolutely no animation while doing this. It's as if it was too small of a detail to even be concerned with in the following titles, or that they just didn't care to make a better animation.

    Pikmin (Gamecube):
-If Olimar is standing on an incline, nothing happens, but if you press d-pad down and lie on the ground, he will begin to slide.

    Tony Hawk's Underground (Gamecube):
-Of all the games in the series, I feel Tony Hawk looks the least like his real-life counterpart in this particular title. Also, the character models seem weaker overall than the other games in the series (relative to their consoles, of course).

When I was very young (and actually played the games lol) I remember noticing in Chopper Attack (N64) that the enemies don't attack you if they're not facing you!

I was, "well... that's too bad", but I wouldn't exploit it to make the game easier. When I saw some silly enemies like the red and black insect-shaped-helicopters trying to shoot me (they almost land to shoot 3 homing missiles) I made sure that they shoot, so I could battle the homing missiles with the Vulcan gun.

I could easily finish it with just the machine gun. But I've used to buy 2 or 3 air-to-air missiles to have fun with the missile cameras. It's a good game. You can play it like a movie. And the Rambo enemy that grab the helicopter's tail is very fun.

lol, when you're a kid you enjoy the games to the limit.

Yep, totally agree with you there!

I have a lot of games that I notice minor problems with, I'm pretty worn out at the moment to remember them lol

I have been replaying Final Fantasy 7, And in some of the FMV Cloud's model changes. One in the beginning of the game when he is jumping on to the train the model is based off his in game model and he looks like a kid. Then later on it is a different model again.

I noticed the thing with Link's pink hair. It's the only Zelda game to have that feature. I don't remember why they did it, but my friend does.

In Crysis 2, there's an elevator easter egg- Not sure how to do it, but when you *go somewhere* and press *some button* and go back to an elevator there will be a rave party of dancing enemies inside. Pretty funny.

Silent Hill 2 has a grammatical error. "Could care less".

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.

Oh, I made a mistake above. It's not when they're not facing you. It's when YOU are not facing them.
If you turn and the enemy is off the camera, it stop attacking and resume the default routine, I believe.

I was kinda obsessed with the reflections on the windows of cars in San Francisco Rush when it came out. I thought it looked so cool, although that game looks and plays pretty shitty now. I was similarly obsessed with the glowing jets coming out of the back of your arwing in Star Fox 64. It's one thing I missed when I got rid of my N64 and got a PlayStation, as I never saw a PSX game that had that kind of effect. Those are relatively small details, but they had a pretty big effect on me. Details can be important, sometimes.

In Sonic 2, during the Chemical Plant Zone boss, the mega mack won't hurt you if you're ducking. This isn't a bug, and is actually coded into the game - the only instance in the game where ducking actually does something.

In Goldeneye (N64) in multiplayer, maybe single too need to check.. if you fire a rocket and look away it does not explode, but if you keep looking once you fire a rocket it does explode

Also I noticed that if you use the lean function a lot in multiplayer, your character to the other pserson can look like its facing 90 degrees off the way the person is looks.. to rectifie this glitch just tand still and lean a lot without aiming.. (as in aiming with the joystick natuarally you need to press the aim button to lean lol)

yes I played goldeneye FAR too much..

One other thing.. if you look down at a weapon or item you dont pick it up.. although I think this is more a "feature than glitch"

For YEARS I didn't notice the virtualroids in VirtualON had Saturns on their backs

Guess the pixelated-to-hell graphics of that age did matter...

And E-105 from Sonic Adventure is made out of Dreamcasts. I didn't notice this until some website pointed it out, years I first played it.

In Civilization 4 and Revolution, in the battle animation if your enemies beat two out of three of your units and they are meant to LOSE, they will just stand still while your last man charges them, it's kinda funny I guess.
    Insert stupid poem here.

Also on Civ 4- if you put tanks against a weak ground unit, there's a good chance that your tanks will blow them away. Literally.
I've seen units go flying off screen before.

Dead Rising 2 has an entire surface underneath the map to spawn you back to the top should you ever slip through the map, this is to stop you from infinitely falling forever. The surface however only stretches as far as Capcom expected you to be able to access and it is possible to fall forever should you exit the boundaries of Capcom's expectations.

You have to duck then press the button to spindash I think sonic 3D was the only game with a dedicated spin button.

EDIT - Unless some of the newer Sonic games have it as well (I'm stuck in the 90's here lol)

All the 3D Sonic games and the classic part of Generations have a spin dash button...although in Generations you can also use the ducking method.
I never knew ducking protects you in Chemical Plant Zone (wish I did), the only thing I used ducking for was to avoid the flame shots of the Hill Top Zone boss.

Bloody hell, I never noticed that either. I knew about the Saturn consoles in Virtual On. I though they were easy to spot. The later games gave a Dreamcast :)
