Xbox02 Question about upgrading HDD with Chimpanzee

Okay so people who use it say you need a molex splitter. Can i just use 1 molex power supply from the xbox to power the original drive, then one from my computer to power the other drive, then just do the process its asking?

or could i take the ide cable from the xbox (unplug from dvd drive) then take 2 molex power supplies from my pc, connect on to one hdd and the other to the other hdd, then connect the ide cable to them both?

last question, i remember seeing a tut (not one using chimpanzee or that method) where it said if you use a drive the has more than 137 gigs, you need to format the rest to unleashx, if i use the chimpanzee tutorial, can i use all of the drive (320gb-1tb) instead of having it split or whatever?

oh and im doing this all with a softmodded xbox, and don't tell me to use a chipped xbox because i dont want to. idc how much easier it is. i dont want to order a chip online plus my soldering skills aren't that great and dont feel like dropping more money for solderless modchip

First off, find a larger HDD that is lockable. If you cannot do this you will either need to flash the TSOP or use a chip. Absolutely no way around this no matter how much foot stomping one might do.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.
