I'd like to see if any art/project assets of The Simpsons: Virtual Bart game for Super Nintendo exists in this "ACCLAIM Filedump." Probable crap game, but I had some fun times with that.

The 42GB of DVDs? It's been a while, but I don't remember anything Simpsons related, or anything from the SNES for that matter. It's mainly stuff from the N64/PS1 era, such as Turok 2 and 3, Shadow Man, ECW, WWF, NFL Quarterback Club, and various other Acclaim sports titles.

The tapes have stuff from 1988 onwards apparently, it's just a matter of whether or not Assembler can dump them and whether or not he has the time to go through everything that's on them, and of course whether he wants to share them.

I've read about those tapes looong before I actually registered here, has tehre ever been an update regarding the dump of those?

Seemed like there were hundreds of such tapes....Couldn't the guy who has them give them to somebody he trusts and wants to/has the time to actually back them up?
Wouldn't that be better than to let them rot even longer?

In situations like these that idea generally leads to stuff falling mysteriously into the Bermuda Triangle, i dunno if every mail carrier has a special route through there for unique items or what but it generally ends up missing or damaged in transit. Plus i think most are spanned volumes so they have to all be together to get anything out of them. I'd love to see what's on the tapes but i'm not that fussed if we never do, all Assembler asked for to release the asset dump was $200 for a new camera to use for the site, he paid out his own cash to buy the lot including the assets and tapes so he's been pretty darn generous. I know the Geist Force project came along which did involve donations from users so that took precedent over this, maybe now that's over the tapes will get a second look or another fund-raiser will start to get working drives or something. It's a waiting game but as they say good things come to those who wait sometimes
