    Insane Nomad accessories daisy-chain.

Some one a while back wanted to see a Nomad with this stuff on it:

    32X
Game Genie or other pass through cart
Sonic 3 with Sonic and Knuckles

I went a step further with the 32X cables added in, second controller, and headphones. It sorta worked on my TV. Got to the Game Genie screen and won't go past that. I'm sure it has to do with the 32X going through the Game Genie. Anyways, ENJOY! Feel free to make bad jokes about this and re-post allover the net. I did it just because I felt like it and I have the hardware on hand to boot. MY 5 seconds of internet fame has begun.

Hmm... Curious, would the 32X work mounted directly on the nomad?

    32x->GameGenie->Sonic+Knuckles->Sonic 3.

If it can't boot the top most item you are cheating. Cheaters are automatically rejected and placed into the category of "poo gas".

"Possible" but it's miserable impractical for several reasons:
    Won't fit the slot
Normally only works for TV-out (can't pass video back to its built in screen)
Bad ergonomics with 32X making the already large nomad even less comfortable

Yes nomad does output RGB video, which is necessary for 32X. Despite nomad not releasing for countries where most people would care.

Why do you care APE? I did this just for the picture, not to have it work. Can you imagine playing this setup if it did work??? It would always freeze up since the Genesis was bad about doing that with the slightest breeze. Go ahead and call me "poo gas" for all I care. This was done because someone wanted to see a picture of it. So leave me alone. You want this to work properly go do it yourself. Leave this thread for people who wanted to see a picture of this and don't care about it working.

for all those wondering, yes the 32x on a Nomad will work if done right. You need one of those cart slot extender things that just act as a pass through and put the cart connector up higher. Plug the 32X into that so you have room for the Nomad power cable and 32X video pass through cable. As for the Screen issue, you need to use the video out from the 32X or else the video on the Nomad screen will be garbled up. 2 ways to get around this. 1) Plug into external TV. 2) If your Nomad has the video screen mod done to it, you can disconnect the video line from the Nomad output and connect the 32X output to the screen. Still very impractical since this setup would be prone to freezing up constantly with every tiny little bump. Besides, who wants to play a handheld that's bigger than a Saturn and needs 2 power plugs just to run?

Because we've had competitions exactly like this, who could make the biggest monster or whatever. And if it didn't boot, it didn't count. :P

This. Because I have about 8-10x the amount of junk to daisy-chain making yours look rather paltry by comparison - and too wouldn't work. Anyone can daisy-chain stuff that doesn't work, lets see a daisy chain of something that does work.

No need to be so sensitive over a valid bit of criticism especially given our previous competitions. Unless you're chicken! Cluckity cluck cluck.

This tower sports a cleaning kit, entry rejected for violating the rules of it not even being a bootable cartridge or passthrough device.

That pic is by Cryomancer, I think, and the phrase "the leaning tower of Sega" was coined by Pachuka of emucult back in the 90s! This was his version:

    And here are some others:

Looks like a competition has started again. This is all stuff I didn't know about since I joined this forum at the start of this year. I agree with DRUID II that I'm "small time" compared to the collection some people have as well as APE in not being eligible for entry in any competition here. I don't care about that anyway. Just did it for fun. You all need to understand I'm disabled and live on a small budget so I'm lucky to even have gotten the stuff I do have. Let's change the topic of this thread now. What's the most insane tower stack you have ever come across or made? More insane than 24 S&K carts stacked up? Do tell.

With 24 Sonic and Knuckles carts anything else is not as insane. Except maybe 25 Sonic and Knuckles carts stacked up.

This has all been done before so it's kind of pointless. If you can imagine all the different kinds of plug-ins available for the genesis, then you can imagine it all stacked together... Because it's been done.

True but still fun to see and laugh at. The one with 24 S&K carts by DRUID II probably froze up right after the picture was taken since as I said earlier the Genesis/ Megadrive was bad about freezing up with the slightest breeze. Almost to the ceiling with that one.

Wait, what the hell is the "Code Buster" cart? Is that the same as a Gametec "Magic Card" or "Magicard" or whatever it's called?
