I loved that phone. My friends called it the Matrix phone due the button that slid it open mechanically. I'll never forget the day I pressed the button on the back, and instead of the satisfying opening mechanism there was a dull 'twang'. Never worked again. :(

Wasn't that the exact phone they used in The Matrix?

As Pushky points out, they used an 8110, but if I recall the phone didn't actually have a sprung mechanism and you had to move the cover down yourself. The special effects team on the film added it, and Nokia thought it was such a cool look they put it into the 7110.

Huh. I always thought it was a 7110, especially since that was Nokia's big new phone at the time.

I love electronics like that- spring loaded mechanisms make everything cooler.
I had this old camcorder that had the worlds coolest cassette loader mechanism.

    I'm now tempted to find a 7110.

I'm still using my htc thunderbolt and it still sucks. I need to get a new phone soon though, I was originally thinking the razr max for the battery life(which my phone currently lacks and then some) but that was a good while ago. Anyone know what is the best phone currently available on verizon?

I'm so happy it's selling the iPhone 5 to 1 right now, but if Apple sues them for some shitty reason I'm throwing my iMac out the window.
So did you throw you imac out the window yet? ;-)
I have a AT&T galaxy note. Rooted and changed to run on mobilicity (it's like Tmobile)
    Also running a custom ROM.
Looking very much forward to the note 2 this week.

I actually didn't- I took the whole thing apart (EVERY PIECE) and put it back together. Had to replace the casing

FYI- got the S3. Couldn't be happier, especially because I'll be switching and getting an unlimited data plan in December to match the phone!
You'd think the dual core version would be slow. Nope. It's speedy as hell, loads everything in a damn flash. 2GB or RAM is killer for a phone.

I'm currently using one of these...

Just like the picture, a HTC One X. Changed from a iPhone 3GS earlier in the year. The iPhone was a buggy POS, which was forever crashing even without any apps/games on it. Wanted to make a call? Crashes. Want to listen to a song? Crashes. Load up Google Maps? Crashes.

It wasn't just my one either, my parents had the same issue with their ones after the iPhone 4 came out. Even with all three of the 3GS up-to-date without any jailbreaks or other stuff done to them, they just refused to work.

Only issue I've had with the One X so far is a faulty power plug but I had a spare one so didn't really matter.
