Rockstar Games Betas Question

Has anyone seen a beta game from Rockstar Games, preferably the GTA series, just curious.

Not GTA, but Smugglers Run. Not nearly as interesting, but it came on a cool Rockstar disk

Manhunt 2 "beta" was leaked before the game was released. People say it was the final build just before the censor was put in place, but the build actually contains bugs not found in the final game, it was probably about 90% - 95% complete, very close to final but without all the creases ironed out.

I remember the beta of MH2 for PSP

The Smugglers Run beta should be intersting, one of the most underated games on PS2

I sold it years ago. I should still have a video backed up, Ill try to get it up eventually. Had a framerate counter, and a bunch of early text. Cant recall if it had a debug menu.

I have had a few Rockstar discs in the past but this was the only GTA disc

Not sure why it started life as College Hardball 2k9 but meh...

Actually I was reffering to the PS2 version, never realised the PSP was leaked also, I thought it was just hacked.

Ummm i've seen a lot of betas of PSP in the days. Ratchet and Clank, GPS stuff, Loco Roco, etc. I bet one was Manhunt but i'm not 100% sure

And yeah, i remember the infamous hack, it showed almost nothing (just rid off the shake, blur and so, but no so gore)

I have a couple of PS2 Memory card dongles for various betas but not the betas themselves.

I remember someone posted (here) about owning a beta of the first GTA on the playstation - Sadly, the promise of some screen shots never materialized. Of course it was DMA Design then, before they became Rockstar North but still...

I'm curious to know if anyone has ever seen a beta of the later GTA games, particularly GTA3 and Vice City.

Theres quite a few pictures on the net of GTA 3 during its development cycle and the changes it went through from the final.

I had that! It was a Russian only build I believe. Encountered a bug where Leo couldn't be killed, a reset fixed that though.

I'd like to see the build of San Andreas that has the see through windows at the safehouse in Mulholland.
