Maybe when the system is old enough so that Sega doesn't care.
porting to windows? ack.,
how do you play or2sdx on a windows pc and not enjoy the force feedback and feel of an arcade cabinet?
The games use gazillion Linux libraries not to mention normal linux API calls, so it would require lot of work per game to convert to Windows. If it was that easy then normal game companies would also release more games from windows to linux as well.......
i want to port xmame to linbergh :P i want to play me some packy-man
OK OK OK...I get your point. No Windows. That's fine. Jack, if you DO eventually port it to Linux, should we *theoretically* be able to use whatever Linux compatible controllers(ie wheels, pedals, etc) we want? And would the force feedback work?
If so, I would definitely make a Linux partition on my drive in an INSTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure if it will be any controller with force feedback but yeah i'd love to see VF5 running on my PC.
P.S. Porting Lindbergh games to windows without sources is simply impossible, unlike running TypeX(2) games in wine which is easy as pie with Romhack's loader executable and old typex_io.dll
I am new here and a lightgun game fans
I am interesting what file contained in a DVD disc for HOTD4,HOTDEX and RAMBO
can u display all file lists?
No I can't and I know rambo would work on linux without any problems. It has mouse code in hehe.
Picture of my Lindbergh cab WIP. (Took apart old JAMMA cab)

jack so this work on Ubuntu 32 or 64 bit
I will make video of USB boot within few days. Requires no keychips just CF + USB Stick with the game (possible to do also multiboot).
@Jackalus sounds awesome man, what are your thoughts on being able to get rambo or any other dump to run via a loader ect? if possable at all. i think you are the only person on the web messing with lindbergh at the moment.
bottom line is do you think in theory that lindbergh games could be run on a Montavista Linux / or win pc via a loader or mix of dummy security scripts ect?
im not talking emulation, but similier to the likes of blaze blue / street fighter 4/ tiato x2 ect. maybe emulation will be needed to run the security side of things?
as for the system itself it seems to be a slightly modded pc with only the security protection being the only alien item on view. flash card reader attched to motherboard.

Like I said maybe in 10 years in future I will make it work on normal PC but not now, I don't want Sega on my ass :-)
Original VF5 is 2006, in normal MAME release time frame and there's newer revisions out there, but yeah it's up to you.
I made multiboot for my home use so I don't have to install games all the time
WOW amazing work! Will the games still keep their high scores when you switch games with your own developed multi boot?
My Feedback thread | My Sales thread (lot's of interesting and rare stuff) | Also for sale lot's of X360 debug discs |
WTB: Dreamkey 3.1 (help me complete my Dreamcast PAL-set!)
Not sure, I need to check if it does. I can do emulation of the save blocks on separate files if it doesn't no problem.
I will do separate video with gun games and driving games a bit later. Now copying missing games to the HDD (Some shown in menu weren't copied yet even tho I have all dumped).![]()
