Will post some nice progress about Lindbergh here
This is strictly for research purposes.
Don't ask about sending game files or <whatever> to yellow conversion CFs since I won't do any of that.

So its working on Linux with protection hacked? i dont understand
Yeah so I'm interested in converting my <whatever> to yellow, you do that right?
It's been a long known fact lindbergh runs linux, one colour is linux, another is windows... I don't see what's so spectacular about seeing it with a terminal running?
I guess for everyone who doesnt know the Lindbergh inside-out, a screeenshot of VF running windowed doesnt seem to interesting/special. Apparently it's balls hard to achieve such a thing, so concratz Jackalus! Do share more, and if your able too, please explain a little bit more about the proces too :-)

WTB: Dreamkey 3.1 (help me complete my Dreamcast PAL-set!)
CF cards are protected by industry grade protection which has to broken first. I can now decrypt any of these cards no problem. BIOS also checks if the CF card is valid and married to the system.
Just got VF5 to run dongless without any sega tools present
Next thing is to emulate JVS and make it run on my separate debian system.![]()

AWESOME! I heard the encryption of Lindbergh makes the games load very long, so I guess with all this removed + the game running on a SSD = HEAVEN :-)

Nice work, too bad that I don't own a Lindbergh or games for it.
During the weekend I hopefully have time to dump Rambo, HOTD EX too and make it boot each game with it's OWN kernel from the SSD partition so I don't have to gay around with libraries in my game boot scripts -_______-
I am looking for:
- Primevil Hunt
- Ghost Squad Evolution
- Harley Davidson
Borrowing would be enough :)
I now have a method where CF card is replaced with custom kernel and games can be changed simply by swapping USB stick, no install times no waiting.
Boot and play, also lot of games now have more resolution options than originally and no stupid sega graphic adapter checks.
I am gonna make Widescreen and 640x480 version of Outrun 2 SP Deluxe this week.
List of games that I currently got:
- 2Spicy
- After Burner Climax
- House of the Dead 4
- House of the Dead EX
- Hummer Extreme
- Initial D 5th Stage
- Let's go Jungle
- Outrun 2 SP Deluxe
- Rambo
- R-Tuned
- Sega Race TV
- Virtua Fighter 5
- Virtua Tennis 3
Now I am poor as a gipsy boy.![]()

At the moment on lindbergh but normally games are restricted to 1-3 graphics adapters even tho it can support more. And games are restricted to certains resolutions too and require dongles etc.
Dongles are no longer required :-)
Amazing progress you made there Jackalus! Running Lindbergh games from USB-drive's without the annoying decryption/loading-times sounds like heaven :-)

Well I use USB sticks :-)
Today I try to upload video of it operating.

I just ran across this thread, and waiting patently :D
I own several N1/N2/Chirio/Lindbergh Systems, and would love to boot different games on it, i know there is a bootleg scene now where you can get disc+bootleg chips.
I also wrote Loader for netdimm (using tmbinc's well documented triforce.py as a base) in .net 4.5 for N1/N2 but see you also did same thing! (mine sits in the task tray, and also gives netdimm mem size/reboot commands)
i figured out last night the cf card is ata password protected last night, and gave up trying to read it...
USB Key + no security pic chip will be nice.
Yes but the CF card will still be protected and USB is also protected :-p

So let me see if I understand this correctly....you can now run Lindbergh games directly on your PC Linux OS machine? If so, is there a possibility of it running directly off Windows 7?
Also, do the driving games support DirectX input USB controller hardware such as Logitech PC FFb wheels and pedals? If so that would be KILLER! I would love to be able to play OutRun 2SP Deluxe with my ECCI 7000 FFB Wheel and CST pedals!
Doing God's work, son. Keep going.
No it's Lindbergh hardware, I have no plans of porting to Linux until I got every single game working perfectly on 1 lindy.
