Daytona USA 2001 with best handling

The handling of Daytona USA 2001 is horrible.
Is there a way to improve it?

the controls arnt the best but i just turn the sensitivity down to just a few notches

I hated using the normal DC controller on Daytona. I used a DC steering wheel, (Ferrari I think) and the game handled a lot better.

Yeah, it's absolutely terrible with a pad. I had a Madcatz wheel and that made it much better once it was set up correctly.
