I just tested my BUNG XChanger GB under Windows XP and it works. Not sure about other devices though.

so a 25 pin port is needed and windows XP ? and one of the BUNG Xchangers or Transferers ??
You're in the US right? Hit up craigslist and find any XP computer and check to see if its has the printer port probably $40. If you're in the UK use Gumtree, you'll have to select your local area (like Leeds.Gumtree.com) and you should be able to get a basic XP or 98 computer for £30 or so.Originally Posted by brendand

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.
I've got an nForce4 board, with a C2Q. Gave it to my mom because her Pentium D was giving her headaches.
If you dump the ROM it's as simple as using a hex editor to compare the file against the retail release. Checksums shouldn't be relied on as you can fake those.
I am from Australia I maybe have a chance of getting access to a XP computer next weekend ^^ ! I'll look for the LPT port why I am there then I'll look into getting a reasonable priced bung or transferer ^^ one more question if this is by chance a prototype wouldn't dumping the ROM make Its value drop ?
Or run it off a usb stick? Xp can be run off a usb stick now.
I am not very good at using computers =[ i would not have a clue how to install a operating system on a usb thumb drive but later this week i hope to see if my cousins computer has the right port thing with 25 pins at the back if it does ill try to find a reasonable priced transferer or Bung

To think C2Q is worth money! On a good day I could get 80 bucks plus, gutting the Q6600 out of my retired computer.

just ordered a retail copy of Pokemon gold and tomorrow i will be looking to see if my cousins computer has the 25 pin port that the transferer has so things will be slow from this point in time but ill let everyone know when i get that device
