Psvita So how's Google Chrome's privacy?

Everyone uses it and it provides great functionality, but I still refuse to switch from Firefox because I never cared to follow the news about it and I remain in a bit of a knowledge deficit, thus I'm suspicious.

Can someone enlighten me how much privacy I can expect if I switched to Chrome? It's Google afterall... and I don't trust them. They collect data like crazy. Also, what about the patriot act? Since Google is an American company, is all the stuff I browse (which isn't illegal, but still I'd rather not see collected in a secret service file) still as anonymous as I'd expect it from a simple web browser?

I know these questions might seem dumb to some of you, but I just never felt like it was worth to keep up with all those news, rumors, flaming and shit. :S

And by the way, is it possible to import all my Firefox bookmarks directly to Chrome?
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

There are ports and mods to chrome that apparently makes it more secure and stops it from dialing home, chromium for example, but I have no idea how good it is though.

Personally I would just stick with firefox, its treated me well so far, and I dont see any reason changing it any time soon...

Well, you can always try Iron. I guess it solves privacy issues. Chrome has an option to import data from other browsers, never tried it though. Also http://duckduckgo.com/ could be worth checking.
