    DC3 WTB: Sega Dreamcast "Coders" Cable

    So yeah, as per the title - I just recieved my launch US Dreamcast (Living in Ireland so that makes it even more of a treat!) and now I'm on the prowl for what's known as the "Coders" Cable for said console: Have the urge to try my hand at some developing for Sega's little gem.

    The cable in question basically plugs into the serial port on the DC, then into your development PC. From there, you can use freeware programs such as DDEr4 to write code+compile for the system.

    Often, they look like this:

    Well with that said, If anyone has such a cable, please let me know!

    Thanks mate! :)

    Well making my own is sort of out of the question, right now at least since I've no soldering iron or experience wiring, etc. ^^;

    But you're right - that one on consolesandgadgets.co.uk seems a little on the expensive side. That said, if I don't get any other deals that can beat that price, then that's what I'll shoot for I guess. =3

    I am quite certain that consolesandgadgets won't ship outside the UK, so you will need to find someone to order it and then send it on for you.

    Edit: Never mind. They do allow it, but they will have to send it by an even more expensive signed-for/trackable service.

    Drat - guess I'll just have to wait a bit and see if any offers spring up. Thanks for the heads up though!
