There's been quite a lot of success with gamer power, petitions and fan funded games. I for one would like to see this game come out, especially as it looks Ep4-6 friendly.

Incredible a game that's this far along could get cancelled.

There are multiple builds of everything in existence, especially in the 360 scene. If I am not getting it direct from a developer, than I assume it has been passed out a half dozen times prior. The key is to trust the people you make agreements to, and have them be honest. I always am, thus why it is quite a bit easier to work with people and share some awesome videos of stuff.
