I actually got my start in xbox scene. And as a matter of fact, it is quite trivial to escalate to HV privs on an XDK.

P.S. swizzy you realise that if you modify a signed xex it looses its signature right?

There is no such thing as a xex signing tool because we don't have the keys to sign with.

To get a xex signed, you need to submit it to microsoft for certification. And also be a licensed developer.

Explaining properly, we know the private DEV xex signing key. We DON'T know the private retail xex signing key and this is what adrianc is talking about.

Do you mean the SDK? Not sure if it's illegal to post links, but it's certainly frowned upon where it comes to newer versions. I'm sure you can find a functional, slightly older version uploaded somewhere if you Google enough.

So I take it we don't have access to anything like the ADK? No one here knows anything about the underlying APIs? (Save that they are C#/XAML under the hood). I'm assuming that Microsoft keeps this one pretty close to the chest, which is a shame.
