Microsoft Xbox 360 "Ping 17" Test Disc

So i've been looking around for this with not much luck.

It's a Microsoft Internal disc that is used for stress testing Xbox 360s at extreme levels to rule out if the console will face or will not face another RROD.

What the disc does is play levels from Project Gotham Racing at intense levels stressing the CPU/GPU/DiscDrive/Network/etc of Xbox 360s.

Apparently the disc was left in a repaired RROD Xbox 360 that was sent back home to the owner from the Microsoft Repair Center. The disc would later go on to be ripped onto torrent sites. I am downloading from a torrent but unfortunately, it's a dead end as there are only peers and not seeders.

    So.

Does anyone have a copy they can ftp or upload somewhere?

    Thanks!

Seeing as it was left in a retail console, presumably to test that same retail console: Yes. Yes it can.

It typically doesn't do much without a network connection. And I'd wager you'll need to have flashed modified firmware on your DVD-ROM, at least I had it when I tried it out.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.

I just wanna stress the mobo out pretty good.
Can I at least do that offline???

I was planning on getting this disc to test out a Prototype Slim (August 2009 MFR) i'm getting in exchange for my XNA. I just wanna make sure these prototype parts do it's job as far as keeping the temps down and cooling off the mobo. Prototype= Unknown Territory. Plus the whole different fan system concerns me.

The Prototype Slim fan actually sucks air in from the side vent and blows it out the top of the console, where as the final retail Slims sucks air in from the top of the console and blows it out the side vent... Not sure if that makes too much of a difference, but I don't wanna trade off my baby (XNA) for something that can't hold it's own due to early parts ya know what I mean?

    So this disc is essential.

As with any "lab tool" from Microsoft, this disc won't boot or start without MS "service center server".

    I don't know.

I've heard from a couple of people that you can use it offline and that it will run through the Project Gothem Racing stress test stuff, but that's about it. The network testing won't work obviously. I've heard that if you boot the disc without the ethernet cord plugged in, you can do the PGR stuff, but if you boot with it unplugged, a white screen will come up giving you a Network Error.

The version I have does run a shit load of PGR3 stress tests, but doesn't rely on any network shit iirc, last time I used it was back in 2005, lol.

...It makes even the calmest, quietest Xbox 360 go into warp drive, amusing to watch and listen to, lol.

...It's still on the original 'Stress Kit' (Development Kit) HDD

There we go. With an ethernet connection it begins to start but fails somewhere along the line and stops when it cannot find a server.
