WTB: Playstation 2 Any Fat Model

    Hey all,

So...yeah - what it says on the tin! My old PS2 reached the end of its lenghty lifespan a week ago and while sure, I can keep it in my collection as a collectors piece - I much prefer everything to be in working order.

So if anyone has a FAT PS2 they want to get rid of for cheap (or otherwise if you know what I mean ;-)) let me know!

Also - I won't say no to a slim model either, methinks.

I'm from Ireland. :P Sound's pretty good, but it's really just a "console-only" that I'm out for since thankfully I have all the cables necessary. :-)

Well there is no problem in having spare cables. I can get a slim very easy, a fat model might involve some travel but that's no worries...

So the slims are around AU$65-AU$75

and a Fat could be around the same price range but I'll say $80 as a ballpark figure.

Have all the time to think about it, if you're really wanting one shoot me a PM and we'll go from there.

No worries, also postage is completely beyond me. So hopefully it doesn't kill it for you.

Slims are available in the UK for £25 with all leads.

I saw some yesterday while out in town.

Are you offering to buy one for him and then ship it on? It would of course be preferable to acquire a console within his own country, although assuming that nothing can be found (I do not know why this would be the case however; I am sure that there are plenty of PS2 consoles in Ireland), shipping from Europe to another EU country is certainly going to be cheaper than from another country half the way across the world.

OP, have you tried eBay? You may be able to get a good deal if the seller is near to you and allows pickup.

Anywhere with a cash converters should have them for around that price.

If he wanted me to pick one up, then he would need to pay all costs upfront and wait until next time I go shopping.

Also possible that there might not be any on that day - so could be a wait.

I am just informing the prices that they can be found rather than ebay that is over priced.

I agree, eBay is way too overpriced for a machine as common and fading in popularity as the PS2.

But anyway, problem solved - turns out a mate of mine decided to hand me over his old one, free of charge!

Thanks for all the offers and advice though!
