Dreamkey 3.0 backup resets Dreamcast, Help

Hi guys, im trying to use a Dreamkey 3.0 backup to acess the internet via my Dreamcast, now i only have a original 2.0 but its no longer compatible, so i went and downloaded a Dreamkey 3.0 from the web and burned using disc juggler, now the disc booted fine but on the main menu when i press "Setup/Manual" my dreamcast just resets, sometimes it wont reset and it will just stay in a black screen. I have downloaded and burn two dumps from the Dreamkey from diferent scenes and none of them work, i dont know if it was a bad burn or these are bad dumps. Anyone has any ideia of what i could be?

    Thank you guys

Hm bad burn? What program youre using to burn the images?

Also, theres others better web disks. XDP Limited was the best i used from the ones i tested.

hi since my last post i had some other things i forgot to mention, i have inded also had other people recomended me the XDP so i did in fact burn it, using Disc Juggler thats what i use to burn my dreamcast games, and XDP also resets my console right after the "Sega Screen" I still dont know what it could be. Also i tested my burns on the Nulldc emulator and they work fine, they boot, they go past the screens where the Dreamcast resets and everything.

Sounds like a selfboot issue to me. I know my Dreamcast needs to reboot to boot back ups. Try maybe getting another back from some where.

Try getting a PAL backup.. Does that change anything or have you tried it already?

Well planet web was the browser released only in the USA therefore the settings are prepared for US ISP not EU ISP and yes they are diferent has there are diferent options and settings the most visable is the phone number where you have to add area codes and such and on dreamkey its only a normal phone number.

Just found another release of Dreamkey 3.0 and it was those optimized ones that are made so that the Dreamcast laser has less stress, where unoptimised dumps have about 800 MB of data where a bunch of it is just trash, this particular release only had 100 MB so again i burned it this time using IMGburn and a 4x writting speed, and gess what, same freaking problem, After i press "Setup/manual" BAM restart. -.- im getting really desperate.

EDIT: something has passed by my mind, is it required to have a VMU? has i dont have one.

EDIT2: Planet web 3.0 actualy worked but i still would like to know why the hell dreamkey 3.0 doesnt.

I do recall it saving stuff to the vmu at the start, but not sure if "needs" to let it load the disc

nop it doesnt need it, now i have some new info, when i set my settings with the planet web, i tried again my dreamkey 3.0 with the same exact problem, but when i was in the process of making a video about the problem, and i tried my dreamkey 2.0 i noticed that my main menu options had changed to "connect" and "setup" i gess it detects the settings from planet web now, for the weird part, originaly my dreamkey 3.0 wasnt showing any changes but after a few rebots it actualy detected the planet web settings, so pressed connect and i actualy managed to get acess to the dial screen now after i pressed cancel i was hable to actualy edit my isp settings within dreamkey 3.0 and i sucessfuly connected to my dial up isp, now in this time i acess all the dreamkey 3.0 possible screens from bookmark to all the options screens to test it out exept for one screen that i only have acess on the first time configuration of dreamkey and that is the language screen that screen seems that it was causing the reboot for some weird reason. now xdp still doesnt work. This is probably the most weird problem i have ever faced in the dreamcast. -.-

I had the same problem with my dreamcast. Don't remember if I got rid of all the ISP options saved on the DC or reconfigured using Planet Web 2.x
