    Saturn music request

The recent discussion about a song from Driver 2 resembling one from The House Of The Dead reminded me of another music question I would love to see answered...

First of all, check out this Sega Saturn promotional video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzTVQt5fbf4

Now, can anyone identify the track playing between (approximately) 11:20 and 11:50?

This one's been driving me crazy, as I know the clip borrows from a lot of games that aren't even featured, such as Formula Karts. Trying to figure out the audio contents of something when the sources don't match up with what is being seen is a difficult task, though I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks as always!

Reminds me a little of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0inSAKAxWE although that's not the song you're after.

Sounds like something that could play in Rage Racer or RR Type 4. But pretty inlikely ;)

I'll probably know the answer but since I'm on the iphone at the moment I can't see YouTube links thanks to no Flash support. Bloody wankers at Apple.

What? You can watch YouTube videos on an iPhone. There's a built-in app for it. Usually if you click on a YouTube link it'll open in the YouTube app.

You can if you use the app but you can't through any web browser which makes clicking on YouTube links a right pain in the arse.

It's actually Adobe being wankers, they don't want to support the iPhone.. Weird.

Thank you for the suggestions - I'll let everyone know if it's on either Euro '96 or Actua Soccer: Club Edition later tonight when I get home, though I've already compiled quite a list of games it's definitely NOT from...

UPDATE: The search goes on, it seems!

Not sure what you mean. I just clicked on the link on my iPhone and it immediately played the video.

Holly shit, since when did the iphone play YouTube videos in a web browser? It never used to due to the flash issue. Looks like YouTube have re-encoded all the videos to quicktime for apple devices. Just a shame other video sites still don't work.

I think it just plays the .flv file directly, rather than using a flash player. Also, on my iPhone it doesn't play in the browser itself. You click the link and it opens up the video in the YouTube app. Sometimes it'll go to the YouTube page for the video, and you click on the play button in the middle and it'll open the video. You have to navigate back to Safari to continue where you left off.

It's been like this for as long as I've had my iPhone 4, which has been a little over a year now.

Ah, I don't use Safari since it's bollocks to be brutally honest. I use Mercury Browser. Full screen and all the features you'd find on a computer browser. It will even trick a web site in to thinking you're using a computer browser. fantastic for people who hate mobile versions of sites, just like me :)

as for the tune, I'm pretty sure it's from Steep Slope Sliders

With two separate suggestions that I check out Steep Slope Sliders, I dusted off my PAL disc and... still nothing! Could this song be exclusive to the Japanese or US version, perhaps?

Damn. I'm 100% sure I've heard this track before somewhere, but I can't place it anywhere.

The track that plays between 9:42 to 10:00 is also familiar, but I'm not sure from where. Like... Jesper Kyd contra Apollo 440.

edit: on the topic of requests, can someone identify these two? They are presumably SEGA in-house compositions, from no later than 1995 (all the other tracks from the demo disc are such tracks, even in cases where they didn't even need to swap out music).

the music between 9:42 to 10:00 uses some samples from vatlava but I don't think the music is from that game.
