Can we stick with the theme applied right now for the future?
Dark backgrounds are much more easier to read and relax the eye.

It would be helpful to see BANNED under a user's name, as is the case on other forums.
It would also be helpful if they weren't deleted from the user list, nor had their post count reset to zero. Whilst their old posts remain, we can't search for posts by that user name!
Lastly, it would be helpful to leave their user name as it was for the same reason, rather than changing it to something amusing.

I understand that, but many people just use the direct linj paired with IMG tags, which do not resize the image.You have to post images elsewhere and link to them. Hence, why not just host on Imageshack, which will provide you the code to do exactly that?

See? I merely clicked upload, then copied the "Forum thumbnail" code.
The forum plugin would simply show a resized image, with a box saying the normal dimensions, clicking it would unrestrain it. TONS of other forums use it.
With the new server maybe a way to just attach the images to the post and not use things like Virus..erhm...Imageshack. This allows a.) the images to stay forever and not get lost in old threads cause they are deleted b.) you can tell the forum to resize them to fit.
I'll fifth (or whatever number it is) this. I, being new, wouldn't mind getting to know some of you more. Seeing as I was just looking for a chat and didn't find one, it'd be nice for members new and old.
To the theme issue, possibly have a setting where the user can select a light or a dark theme.
A box that tells you when and where you've been quoted on the site. I know a lot of sites use this now and I think it would be really useful on site like this.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned, and tbh the below is not so much a suggestion for the new forum, but a suggestion in general.
Can we have updated site donor special avatars please? Don't get me wrong, the 2009 one is ok. But with the 2012 drive around the corner (I assume) it's not really relevant now. I'm sure the vast majority of 2009 donors also donated in 2010 and 2011 (like I did!), and will do so again in 2012. Just a vanity thing really.
In the new forum maybe we could have size limit for normal avatars again because I think many are to big now and they break the layout and stuff.
