A former Sega employee allegedly knew someone (another ex-sega employee) who had a working copy... That was last year I think (the same person who sold the first non-working copy of Geist Force)
There is also a picture of the disc in the 'Sega Archives' photo album taken at Sega's HQ in the USA. - (along with the unreleased 'Far Nation' which nobody seems to know anything about.) That was a few years back but it shouldn't be hard to find (it was discussed here)
According to a user here (iirc it was Yakumo) there may have been playable copies in kiosks in Japan, shortly before it was canned.
There's a rolling demo on one of the Sega Express demo discs (I think?) A Japan exclusive collection of demo discs not unlike DreamOn etc..
Why was it canned? Apparently the final game had a bug in it so you couldn't finish it.
Take ALL of the above with a pinch of salt (well, except for the bit about a rolling demo... it's prob on YouTube)
Dee Dee Planet joins Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and Take the Bullet as one of the last few remaining games that made it very close to completion and then vanished - None of these three games have been released to the public in any way shape or form, as far as I know. Although, unlike HOMM3 and Take the Bullet, there is no concrete proof anyone has a copy of Dee Dee Planet :(

There's at least a working copy of Take The Bullet out there? I thought this was one cancelled game that showed plenty of promise - especially as it promised to be the Dreamcast's very own GoldenEye, complete with split screen multiplayer features and the potential addition of networking options! Of course, if this one ever does surface, I doubt it's going to be possible to get such modes working (similar to Propeller Arena or even Dee Dee Planet, should that leak as well)...
A few months ago I went through the japanese official site so those picture are nothing new.
Not a rolling demo, but there's a movie of Dee Dee Planet on the movie disk of Dreamcast Express Vol.5
You can watch it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv5qGfl-b9s

Hey, my memory is hazy! Sorry about that :) Yes, the video on volume 5 is what I was thinking about...
There is one possible option but this depends on Assembler - DonnyK mentioned he "knew someone" who had a copy - I think this was before Monkfish turned up with the working copy of Geist Force - Assembler has obviously traded successfully with Monkfish - Perhaps he could ask on the forums behalf to see if he's the person Donny was referring to (it does seem likely) If it is, well... perhaps another fundraiser is an option but let's just see if he has it first...
Short of some random person stumbling across this forum with a copy - I think this is the best option for now.
In case anyone's wondering about Take the Bullet and HOMM3 - The person who had a copy of Take the Bullet posted a load of screenshots from the game on the now defunct DreamcastHistory website - Many of the users here saw the pics (perhaps they're here somewhere as well?) I have no idea about the current whereabouts of the disc (I'm also wondering if it was a build on a dev kit? - this may explain its absence)
By chance I stumbled on the person who bought HOMM3 (I believe he's the current owner of Legit's disc) - He said he would release it at some point in the future... (although that was almost two years ago... All we can do is cross our fingers.

I remember Monkfish saying he had played the game a lot back in the day, but only 'a friend' of his actually has a copy on disc. I think he was going to tell them about the forum in hopes they'd come by and share their knowledge as he and DonnyK were at the time, but it never happened. Still, it's good to know the game exists in the hands of someone who knows someone we know... ish.

Has anyone followed it up? Maybe he forgot about it...
