    EMS 4in1 cartridge usage

Well I have one of these like new shinning contacts and all and the thing works ok on all RAM dependent games I tested with no problem at all. But I have some saves in the cart and now need to access the menus whith codes and save manager. The question is how the hell you do this??? I have booted it ok some months ago but it seemed that I had to hold some button or it would not load the menu. But I don't remember anymore. Any help will be great:dammit:.

I have an Action Replay that just decided to die out of the sudden - the main menu just doesn't come up. It was very fun to lose all my saves on that thing.

I've yet to test if it still works as the ram expansion though.

yeah its the stupid absurd thing, it worked ok I just put it in the box and let it resting for some months. Now the damn menu don't appear no matter what I do. BTW, tested on 3 va0.5 saturns being one of them my Hi-Saturn mmp-1. I am so pissed that I feel desire to smash this thing. One thing came to mind, could the flash be corrupted so the menu don't appear??

Mine died suddenly too - partially. The 1M games were ok, the 4M games had corrupted sprites, the menu was there but froze when selecting the save games from like a decade. I've never encountered that the menu wouldn't load but the RAM games were fine.
So maybe you just try to put it in and pull it out again a little bit, often it gets a better contact to the console.

UPDATE!! Well I know how I fixed mine right now, just downloaded and used the The Rockin'-B All Stars disc and flashed the firmware. Too bad I didn't know how to retain the saves so they are all lost but the AR is working again. So in short: don't let your saves in this thing. Better buy official backup ram cartidges for this.

The same thing happened to me. I lost 10 years worth of gamesaves. If you want to backup the gamesaves to a PC (which I do now), you can get something like this: http://www.gamingenterprisesinc.com/DataLink/
    Sega Saturn USB DataLink
