Need Help: What Touch Pad to Buy?
Alright with taxes coming up soon i have decided to get a touch pad, i am a huge computer buff but when it comes to touch pads im not in the know. I would like to keep it an android pad this much i know, but could someone point my to a semi-affordable pad that has great speed, full 3d, multi-touch screen, and i would like it to be at least 10in screen( if bigger thats great) also i would like to hear people arguments on weather maybe getting an Ipad is the better bet. Thanks for your time. Also im not trying to make someone to the searching for me, i have been to many pages and looked at many different pads, i honestly just don't know what processors are good or anything retaining to the specs im really at a loss.
Oh you want a Tablet! Touch Pads I thought you meant like a drawing tablet or something....
Anyway, Android tablets are coming out the freaking woodworks. How anyone could keep track of them is beyond me.
I think the best in terms of build quality and battery life (and closest to an ipad 2) is the Samsung Tab 10.1. Same high quality glass screen and IPS based panel like an ipad 2 and probably the best battery life of the Android tabs. Almost as good as the ipad 2. But it's the closest to the Apple product in other ways too. Unfortunately it's lacking extra I/O features like SD card slots, USB ports or HDMI jacks. It's beautiful, well built and has a great battery life but others have more "extras" on the side. Oh yeah this one's also priced like the Apples. But you get what you pay for right?
Otherwise I'm not too sure. I know there are some in the $400-500 range like the Asus Transformer, or the Toshiba ones that are similar in spec but not as "nice" in terms of TN panels, overall build quality or the "feel" of it and of course the battery life. Asus also released the Transformer Prime with the latest NVidia Tegra 3 quad core processor. Yeah, that's right... a quad core in a tablet! So if you want raw power that one's probably hard to beat! It's also an IPS panel and it has microSD card slot and mini HDMI port! But I'm going to assume it will be the most expensive of the bunch. On the flipside I also know Lenovo just released a new range that starts at $300 for 32GB Wifi. That's $300 for a 10" screen and dual cameras. They certainly look appealing at that price but I can only assume it lacks something else. Still worth checking into I think. But I'm not too up on Tablets either. All I can really say for sure is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the closest thing to the Apple product if that means anything to you.
