Okay, so I've been playing the Glover 2 prototype a bit recently, and after researching, I really haven't been able to find much info about what it actually contains. Yeah yeah people have posted videos of it and such. I don't think anyone has actually done a full in-depth search through it. I've been looking around and taken some notes.

The only interesting thing is some of the text in the file itself. So I took the liberty of extracting text from the rom. Since I couldn't find any good programs for linux to extract text. Here's what I've got.

Okay, short little bit. Pretty much these are some of the enemies. Although many of these are found in-game, I have been unable to find several. The 2 most disappointing ones are Yeti, as there is a section in the events (press L in the menu) "Yeti Killed:". Strange that they would add this if it isn't present. I also haven't found any differences from changed that value to "1".
Next is Bovva. Not big of a fan of the first game, but apparently its some bee. Now there are several bees, but im pretty sure they aren't special. This is strange because one of the cheat codes is "Stun Bovva". Once again, I do not understand the need for it while it isn't functional.

This last part seems to be a debug console for the game. If my memory serves correctly, when the game crashed I used the Zelda debug console code and surprisingly the same console came up. I didn't see anything like this though.


Well, long list. This is really slimmed down list, and I really got lazy at the end. I'm working on a quick java program that'll extract the strings for me, but it's a pain.


Small little thing: Pressing A+B on controller 4 causes a crash. Screen turns black. I believe this is because it is attempting to take a screenshot. Here's the section on why I think so. It's text from the screen that pops up when you press Start on Pad 4.
