Original post right here. He deserves stitches. Lots of them.
What's the current total now, and can you tell how many people have donated?

Capcom do not care about this fundraiser.
You can also write a claim to capcom support email but they won't do anything.
They will say exactly like "we escalated your message to revelant department" - try it.
They don't care about videos from current gen game betas, they don't care about releases of previous gen betas.
Yes, of course they can take action any time - it's their right, but i'm sure they do nothing. This time just all of us will see it.
Why capcom and others don't understand that alphas/betas of titles like RE has value and if they will sell 3-5 years later after game release something like "Platinum Edition" in which they include disc with 3-5 betas from different stages of development it would attract fans.
Updated the total again thanks to more donations from the community. We are now at - $1,682.53
The total so far consists of 44 donations but I know a couple of those are multiple donations from the same person. I will make a full donators list tonight.
I will re-upload the pictures tonight also(it was my birthday yesterday so I slacked off a little).
Any suggestions as to what site I should use to host the pictures?

When the doctor asked me, if I heard voices in my head, the voices said "tell him no!"
They know only how to horde unreleased games, they don't know what else can they do with them. The best strategy for Capcom to do something against this fundraiser would be to.... release the rom themself!
I wonder how they would react to a 1.5 fundraiser.
A suggestion: Shave off a couple of hundred from the total price and get the rom released asap. The only way to avoid any possible hassle... Capcom Europe may not care, but Capcom Japan might - Remember, these companies have a 'legal obligation' to protect their IP. Even if they don't care... they might still have to do something about it. (although I do wonder - in this case - who would actually check up on Capcom?)
I'm penniless from two other fundraisers here (both of which seem to be doing/have done terribly compared to this one - Otherwise I would've been in for something...
As for the idiot who reported this fundraiser to Capcom in the first place - Dude, Christmas must be a barrel of laughs at your place - Do you beat up your family and take the presents back on the 26th?
What a c...t - Rather than even attempt to report it - Why not just ignore it?
"Don't let Monty die in vain, press a key and try again..."
"Drunk drivers kill people ....Stoned ones just miss their exits..."
There were some people over last 5 years who were reporting to capcom in all possible ways - from writing them claims via email to calling them, all of them were ignored.Capcom Europe may not care, but Capcom Japan might - Remember, these companies have a 'legal obligation' to protect their IP.
I know about 3 guys who were claiming to capcom about proto rom releases, i know 2 guys(me and friend) who were reporting ingame bugs.
But of course capcom has 'legal obligation'...
I guess he will.Do you beat up your family and take the presents back on the 26th?
Just don't know what he has against our community???

Imageshack gives priority to US IPs. Most of the time I get messages like "this image is only available in the US" or something like that.

Here's an extra $20 to the cause from me. I was only going to give $10, but then I saw the Joystiq article and thought I'd double it!
Just sent a token amount.
(fucking bills....grrrr)
Good point but think of it from their point of view, why would they want to release something that's unfinished, in their eyes, its probably not very well done...... also only put towards fans of betas/alphas. I know people who enjoy Resident Evil games but don't give a shit about 1.5 or anything beta related.

Hi!
I'm a Network Moderator and Assistant in the Ask Capcom forums over at Capcom Unity, and saw the thread you guys mentioned a few posts up.
I thought I'd drop in and let you know that Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/Senior Vice President, responded here.
I completely support you guys and hope that you raise enough funds to release the prototype! IMO, it may have no monetary value to the company, but for the sake of preservation, it will be incredibly valuable to the community of worldwide Resi fans.
Good luck with everything! Will be checking in here more often :)

Thank you Liana, that was a very nice unexpected post from a Capcom employee, it's nice we have someone from Capcom on our support. :)
Now let's get this released to the masses and create beta history. ;)

I have no means to play this any more nor does this particular title or platform enthrall me but now that there is a second build and I recently got paid, I sent another $10 to get this out there for the greater good regardless of my personal opinion.
