Fundamentally they aren't horrible games. But the fact it's the same shit year and year out and zombies buy these games enmasse. Sickens me.
Call of Duty fans are like Justin Bieber Fans. All Love, no objectivity and they don't realize the thing they love so much is complete pure and utter ass and that something even better and more amazing is out there.
My cousin is about 3 years younger than me we grew up on the old school But any old school style game that comes out now he says sucks.

Multiplayer has been crap since 4. Story mode has always been awesome (MW2 was a lesser though).
Anybody who says 4 was a bad game isn't in there right mind. I agree that it's repetitive post 4 but if you can get it for cheapo(STEAM SALES!) or cheap you should get.

I liked MW1 (CoD4) in terms of singleplayer. MW2 pissed me off (the gameplay in general) when I tried it, so I didn't even bother playing it for more than 30 minutes. CoD 1-3 have been amazing FPS though.

Both Battlefield and Medal of Honor have been around for much longer than CoD. It's just that there had not been an outstanding Medal of Honor since Frontline so people forget about it. MoH essentially founded the entire WW2-FPS-subgenre.

Lol, what? 1 and 2 had an excellent story mode and provided an outstanding multiplayer experience. Some of my best LANs were fought on the battlefields of CoD 1 and UO.
I think ALL "real life" war games are shit. I know a few who play nothing but these games and have the cheek to tell me that I play games for pussies. WTF? According to them, anything that isn't a FPS based in war is for pussies. What a bunch of tossers they are. They have no idea what gaming is about.

Alright. Now remember when medal of honor and day of defeat and all these games were popular and suddenly everyone was raving about cod? Then think a bit later, after counter-strike got released, and everyone and their dog went for modern weaponry, special forces and all that? I count at least 10 MODS that wanted to be cs. I don't accuse cod of being a bad game. I accuse it being a game rotten to the core with plagiarism and riding on a wave of teenage wet dreams. Remember all the raving about how mw2 was so offensive with the no Russian campaign? It's not that that mission was offensive. It's just that it was showing off just how infinity ward was trying way too hard. Also, has anyone else actually ever played multiplayer on it and NOT been yelled at my an angry 13 year old American kid? I rest my case.

The game series is good, just as Madden is good and Mario is good. It's the same shit every time, but the games work a successful formula and are fun to play. There are few games that have given me as many jaw dropping moments as CoD4 and up. My only complaint is they are a bit too short.
