Using Lac's boot emu on V64?

I've googled this, and I just can't seem to find instructions or anything for that matter. Does anyone know how to use it on a V64?

Load bootemu onto V64, turn on N64, while it's running, upload new rom on V64 either over parallel, or through CD.

You press either the Play or Stop button on the V64 to get back to the V64 menu and pick another one while the N64's running. Then press start
