Fundraising rules
1. Any fundraising must be approved by the site.
2. Goals must be met in a set period of time.
3. If the goal is not met, refunds must be given.

There's no reason this should be met with opposition, though anyone could well circumvent it by not even revealing the true price they paid, but I think there should be a set rule that any fundraisers never ask the community to fully fund the total it cost one person to get a game. I don't think there's any recent examples of this, but regardless, it makes sense.
Imagine if someone bought something for thousands, and then decided they'll try to gain all the funds back, which in turn is pretty much making everyone pay for the game for them, under the guide of being a fundraiser. If you get to hold on to the physical item then you definitely should actually have taken part in some monetary loss.
Personally, it only seems fair to me to split the cost at the very least 50/50, community pays half while the owner keeps their loss on the other half. Everything's nice and even and that pretty much justifies why one side keeps the physical media, which they could very well end up selling for half the price at a later date and end up getting in essence a full refund. But that's just me.
In short, there should be a rule preventing people trying to get the community to foot the whole bill to a purchase they made.
