Is Tony Hawk 3 beta really leaked?

Hello guys,

I'm a big Tony Hawk fan (until they started the physical skate thing) and I've always loved this game. I know there's a PSX Tony Hawk 1 beta leaked, with some stages that didn't make it to the final game, as well as at least two test characters and a test level unaccesible without editing the beta.

For some reason I just googled today info on this and I saw some people asking for help, trying to boot a "Tony Hawk 3 beta", who other people claimed to successfully boot. It seems it is for the PS2, but all the information I could find was these threads:

So, do you know if there's any way to get this beta? I'm sure that some of you have a bunch of TH protos I won't be able to afford, so that's why I'm curious about an already released beta. :)

Indeed! There's little information about the development stages of TH saga. It would be great to have a look at a TH 3 beta for the PS2, so any information will be greatly appreciated.

Googling for the nfo or the filename (PS2BETA-THP3B.001 ) brings up nothing unfortunately. Should still be on Usenet imho?

There were 3 or 4 dreamcast builds of the first game for sale over the years. Really wish I had the cash then, was hoping one of them would have a 4 player build.

That big search engine is your friend on this one. Literally paste in part of what you wrote and it will be on the very first page. Do some of your own digging.;-)

Was it rumored a 4 players mode for Dreamcast? That could have been literally weeks of fun.

Im fairly certain that there are screenshots of the 4-player mode in old Dreamcast magazine. Was disappointed when the game came out without it.

I've been trying to find something regarding this 4-player mode but all the information I found is about the GBA version :/

Thank you for those links! I think it might have been because of visibility issues? Maybe the screen was not big enough for four players.

And no, as far as I know the only TH beta leaked is the Tony Hawk Skateboarding one.

This beta is definitely real. I'm not sure if it is the exact release that was linked in this topic but its the demo of THPS3 shown at E3. I am positive that I have this kicking around somewhere along with a THPS 3 psx beta (that is nearly final with some minor differences). Ill go hunting for it later.
