    Danger of wooden kitchen utensils

I was making dinner and the ladle snapped.

The handle then hit the rim of the pot, which flipped up
and towards me. I was covered in boiling food.

I have burns on my face, arm and leg now.

If you have wooden or plastic ladles get rid of them for
    metal, it's too dangerous!!!

You can't help but find that amusing as if it came straight out of some sitcom. Honestly though, get some cream on the burns if you haven't done so already.

This one time I had the gas on my stove igniting for 10 mins. When I realized it and turned the stove on the flame shot out 3 feet. I barely dodged it.

Don't you hate it when you try to read a phrase and have to read every single word on its own and puzzle it together once you're done because the author didn't give a shit? What's so hard about a . or a ,?
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Can't say I've had any Wooden utensils break so far on me. I hate using plastic as they can taint the food.
Coming to an App store near to you soon! or not as the case may be.

It's a regional dialect of English with it's own grammar rules. Localized entirely to 266 (My address) in North Scituate Rhode Island USA.

That and I type so fast I never notice my grammatical errors

I am confused on how did you broke it, the are generally quite thick wood and do require a lot of strength to break. I normally use wood, although I replace them every year or so. Metal is bad as they can scratch the fuck out of the non stick coating and as mentioned plastic is bad.

I tend to break a lot of stuff with my hands. I have a bad habit of crushing things... snapping toothbrushes in half while brushing... cracking my computer mice

You can ask for any old woman
You can ask for an army of ants
You can ask for a pillar of poison

Given the topic title I half expected you to say they had set on fire on you or a link to a video of them on fire for someone else.

Still... a snapped ladle... it is still sort of funny you have to laugh to keep yourself from crying, eh?

I've been burned several times so I know how much it sucks - hopefully you kept the affected areas under cold running water for 15 mins and as and when it blisters avoid popping them if at all possible. On one of my burns a friend had an OCDish decisre to lance boils and he kept trying to stab it with his pen at school. Eventually he got a lucky stab and the burn got infected - not good :(

Tip: Buy proper wood utensils, if you need to crush things then do it before you start cooking. Normally I crush in a pad are tomatoes and you should be able to do this without too much force.

If you are breaking tooth brushes while brushing then you are brushing far too hard and are probably damaging the enamel..

Man.. Maybe try not to hulk out while cooking?
I come off as an arrogant jerk sometimes, feel free to bring me back down to level when that happens; however, it's not intentional most of the time.
