Lets play nice guys. Give the man at least a day before you start shitting on his grave. =|
I'm not a fan of Jobs or apple but I can appreciate what he has done for computers & technology. It's sad when the world looses an influential person.

And you're an inconsiderate idiot. Sorry to tell you this but other than that claim of yours, mine is based on evidence that can be found in thread.
Do you know Steve Jobs personally? No? So how can you tell that he's an asshole?
You can't.
Do you know Steve Jobs as an entrepreneur and inventor? Yes? So how can you tell that he's an asshole?
If anyone doesn't like Apple products for whatever reason, that's fine. But saying that they are bad products is just outright wrong because they are not. And saying that "Steve Jobs is an asshole" is not only extremely immature, it also shows that you clearly have not the slightest idea who Steve Jobs actually is. You're just bashing a company, why do you do that?
That man was more than the CEO of Apple and the face of the company. His resume and the products he created during his time as Apple's CEO are revolutionary. The Desktop as well as the iPhone. I don't know about you, but cell phones sucked before smartphones were introduced, I hated them. And it's not only a random CEO who happened to have died, he was a symbol for innovation, risktaking and success to many in the industry and beyond. Along with the people like Bill Gates, he was one of the very few that served as an inspiration for today's and future inventors, college grads and businessmen.
Please refrain in future from those stupid comments. I think you're 30 years old, right? Sorry to point this out, but that's just embarassing to read.

If you don't want to believe the truth that's your choice.
You should really show some respect. I was never a fan of Apple, the Macintosh Computer, or any of the iProducts. But he was a human being. He clearly helped shape the direction of computer technology. He got a horrible health problem and died. That's sad for any decent human being. Why you apparently hate him I don't know. You don't have to think he's Jesus or kiss his ass. But some basic human decency would be nice.
And sadly your reaction is probably duplicated by many people who are ignorant with these things.
Well Google Steve Jobs and asshole and see what pops up.
Who knows maybe he denounced his assholish ways on his death bed, not my place to judge, I'm just repeating what I have been told by people who would know.
About 782,000 results (0.07 seconds)
Results for "foreigners are stupid":
About 7,580,000 results (0.17 seconds)
Is that the only reliable source you have?
Oh, and that. Basically you're just confirming that you have no idea what you're talking about and the justification for this behavior is that other people told you to?Who knows maybe he denounced his assholish ways on his death bed, not my place to judge, I'm just repeating what I have been told by people who would know.

How do you know Genghis Khan was a bad guy? Did you meet him personally? Fallacious argument is fallacious and I'll have to ask you to refrain from using them in the future.
I do know Jobs was an asshole and I cite this primary source document as evidence:
http://www.folklore.org/StoryView.py...&detail=medium
Steve started critiquing the layout on a purely esthetic basis. "That part's really pretty", he proclaimed. "But look at the memory chips. That's ugly. The lines are too close together".And: http://www.folklore.org/StoryView.py...&detail=mediumSo we invested another $5,000 or so to make a few boards with a new layout that routed the memory bus in a Steve-approved fashion. But sure enough, the new boards didn't work properly, as Burrell had predicted, so we switched back to the old design for the next run of prototypes.
Apple's other co-founder, Steve Jobs, didn't agree with Jef about many things, but they both felt the same way about hardware expandability: it was a bug instead of a feature. Steve was reportedly against having slots in the Apple II back in the days of yore, and felt even stronger about slots for the Mac.Still deserves respect to the extent that he was a genius at convincing people to buy Apple's shiny crap as opposed to someone else's shiny crap. For that I must applaud his manipulation of humanity. I won't piss on his grave but I sure as hell can't celebrate him as some sort of demi-god like a lot of people are.But once again, Steve Jobs objected, because he didn't like the idea of customers mucking with the innards of their computer. He would also rather have them buy a new 512K Mac instead of them buying more RAM from a third-party.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.
a very sad day, this man basically shaped the way we use and perceive technology.
"I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work. Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely." - Bill Gates
Steve Jobs worked his whole life, taking little pay, and relying more on the beauty of technology to rise Apple's fame.
Steve Jobs, after marrying his current wife, dedicated his life to donating to charities and striving to improve mankind in more liberal ways. He's done great things for humanity in general, not just technology.
Yeah I'm artsy as shit, can't you tell by how tight my pants are?

By the way I said he was an Asshole, I never once said Good Riddence. Don't think I'm saying it's a good thing he's gone. He still had a Family who is going to miss him.

I strongly disagree. You are giving him too much credit. While he deserves some for the direction of technology, he was not some sole driving force. No doubt many people who's names are not known to us were just as instrumental in what he did and wouldn't have been achieved without them.
I do agree some people particularly in the media are playing up his role in technology beyond what it really was.
I dont care if you think he is a loser or a hero.
He is what made technology what it is today.
I see him as a legend and friend.

Never been a fan of Apple but there's no denying the guy was brilliant. Even if he wasn't it's still a sad thing.
I think one of the most telling things is how good of friends he and Bill Gates were. They were almost like counter-balances to each other, I'll look for the source but, they used hangout almost weekly when they lived in the same town.
