Wondering: Turbo Grafx Duo, how much, how rare

Hey there, it's been some time since I started to look into buying a turbo grafx, but I wanted it to play cds aswell.

So I would like to know if people here have it, how much does it cost, how much people sell this.

I'm wondering about it without box just the console cables and controllers.

We have a forum thread for this, but since it's not sale related:

TG-16 with cd $100-120 (tg part makes no difference to value, cd seems to always hit $100) Boxed Cd $400-500
    Duo $199-220 loose 300-400 boxed+++
    Japanese duo $75-90 + 90 shipping...

$100-120 is a very nice price.
Where did you see one for that price?

And sorry for the wrong area, if you point me to the right place you can delete this thread.

I just scan ebay all day (automated).

Search for tg-16 cd in systems on ebay
Set the item to buy it now
Set it to the price threshold
Set it to save search, email daily

Sit back and wait for the item you want at the price you want.

Be careful. The first model CD drive, and duo, are somewhat unreliable.

Don't bother to hunt down a working US CD attachment by itself (they're almost always bundled with a turbografx console). With the ridiculous time wasted waiting for that, one could more than save up enough for a fully modded duo-r.

hummm, what's the difference between the models?
I though there's only one turbo grafx duo.

Actually it's called "Turbo Duo", only the HuCard (or Turbo Chip) machines are called TurboGrafx.

In an ambiguous situation such as this you might want to go with the shortest combination. If someone titles it Turbo Grafx Duo, you'll still find it by searching for Turbo Duo.
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

You might get a better price searching for typos, but I find no so much anymore.

    turbografx-16
    turboduo

    errors:

    turbografix
    turbographics
    turbo duo

No problem. We're pretty familiar here about what setups offer the best value for money.

Yeah, this happens sometimes but the only systems I can find in the wild here, Brazil, for a very low price are the regular one like: 3 snes for $10.
The most rare system I found in an used sale was a mega cd.

Those systems like the turbografx or the neogeo aes are really expensive here.
If you find another one for that price, let me know :)))

Inflated prices certainly aren't fun for us. So many hoarders and resellers these days. We're the users collectors end up hurting.
