Supergun line level audio

I have made a supergun and at the moment it is running on a basic speaker, however i would like to run the audio through the audio pin on the scart and adjust the volume on the TV.

I have heard of problems blowing speakers and wondered if a resistor would be suitable to drop the DB enough not the blow the speakers?

There is a certain kind of circuit that was described somewhere here for getting line level audio. In my experience I just directly connected the audio to a RCA style input on a seperate sound system that did its own amplification/audio control and didn't have problems except for one thing. My Capcom CPS2 would blow the +12v line fuse if I cranked the volume.

Not sure if that's 100% the right method, and I've not tried it. I just use a small Creative speaker next to my supergun.

10k/1k gives 11:1 attenuation so it's good for 12V amp games. The circuit doesn't take the load amplifier into account, but typically their input R is over 10k so can be ignored.

For games with stereo output, you'll want to use a hi-lo converter (I bought one meant for car audio and modded it) or you'll have interference issues among other things.
