Sound but no video? I can't promise that this is your problem, but typically that indicates your TV and the cable don't agree on how to use the blanking signal on pin 16 of the SCART connector. Some televisions will see that there's RGB and no composite signal and switch automatically, but many require voltage on that pin so that they no switch. You shouldn't have to convert from SECAM, since that's unrelated to the transmission of RGB.

I've never heard of a game console that outputs SECAM. Huh, news to me.

I have checked, and this cable is RGB wired, not composite so I don't imagine any problems with PAL/SECAM.

Have you tried plugging them into every SCART socket on your TV? If the cables are wired solely to do RGB, then you may have issues if only one socket is wired up for it.

What kind of TV are you using?

EDIT: Apparently, there is a difference - see Simonbelmont2's post below.

They were mostly released in france I think, been reading games which say "only for use on pal/secam systems" for as long as I can remember. It's been their television standard for aages, I think they're planning to have it abandoned by the end of this year iirc.
