    Request : Saturn CartDev software

    Hello,

I finish to hookup and setup a retail Saturn on cartDev Rev. B box. I have all parts include connection to computer through SCSI.

But little mess, I don't have the soft for test and use this devkit. To start, the most significant is the driver (psybios I supose) and test software named "conftest".

Right now, only SCSI card detect the Cartdev box and... nothing else. PSX software is easy to find, but SS dev software it's another story, why ? Someone can help me to finish setup this devkit ?

    Thanks ! ;-)

Do some googling around for the DTS CDs, they are floating around out there somewhere. I would upload myself but I'm in the midst of recovering data from an old computer that had all my SDK stuff on it. CartDev wasn't the PsyQ set but rather a Cross Products box, which would be the SNASM family of assemblers and software which is what is on the DTS CDs iirc.

    Hi Dr.Wily,

I looking for the software too. Found a guy on SegaSaturn.co.uk : http://segasaturngroup.proboards.com...ay&thread=4546
I contact him, theguy will give the software away, anyway he has no floppy to take images from the disks . I do not ask him any more, maybe you have more luck.
    Let me know ;-).

    regards
    Chris

I have a bunch of floppy drives at work... maybe if I send few one he can dump for us...:rolleyes::rolleyes:
When we collect some devkit software, the floppy drive is a must. Nonsense.

Great ! Thanks Druid. Do you think that these files include some drivers to communicate and send compiled files on target unit ?

You'll have to check for yourself I'm afraid. I've only personally tested some of the Virtual CD Emulator files - which is used for creating a CD Image of your compiled code, and using the VCD connection to "mount" it on the Saturn. Those are pretty straightforward to use, but I'm not familiar with how the Cartdev works.
