    Controller request thread

Can someone post pics of the 6 button pad PCB? Both sides and what chips it's using? I've built my own 6 button logic board with off the shelf TTL parts, and confirmed that it should work based on looking at 6 button code in PCE games. But it would be nice to confirm some things :)

    Here you go:

    Avenue Pad 6 (NAPD-1002)

    Arcade Pad (PCE-TP1)

Awesome! thanks :D That confirms what I had thought. 3 x '157 and 1 x '163. And I assume the '163 is running a dual purpose. On the original pads, only output bits 1 and 2 (out of 0-3) are used. I assume the 2-6 switch changes the output bits and the least bit 0 is used to clock one of the '157 select state. I.e. you never know what 8bits you're reading, until you check the direction buttons (all held down, which is impossible on a normal pad, means you're reading the 8bits of the extended buttons).
