PAL PC Engine conversion?? Can it be done?

Hi Guys,
I got my hands on a PAL white PC Engine from Hong Kong.
I wanted to do a RGB and AV mod to it and when I opened it I noticed it had a strange daughter board on it.

Wondering if anyone has any idea about removing this and getting a replacement crystal oscillator installed onto it to bring it back to NTSC land?

If I remove the daughter board I get no AV and I noticed the crystal oscillator is not installed on it but all the holes and tracks are there for it.

Anyone got a schematic for the PC Engine?

If it helps I will take some pics of my un-modded PC engine. Just let me know roughly which part of the PCB you want the pic of.

Also if you let me know the location of the missing crystal I will check its value/Part number etc.

The daughterboard alters the timing by halting the VDP so there should be cut traces on the main board; remove the daughterboard, jump the cuts and drop in a 21.477272 MHz Xtal and you should be good to go. The Xtal won't be super easy to source, you can swipe one from a broken NES though.

Thanks for that guys. I have a jap pc engine that I can compare it to. I cannot see any cut traces but noticed that a few resisters have been removed. I can source the crystal from a local supplier here in Australia.
There is also a couple of components with label C on them. I suspect they are capacitors but cannot work out what they would be. They are tiny little silver things like surface mount resistors. Any ideas?
I think once I can replace those I will be in business.

They are probably just surface mount Capacitors.

You will need to get the values tho, so you need a schematic or someone to remove the caps from a working board, test the values, then refit.
