Today I decided to go on a shopping spree around the shops of the city for some goodies. While I did find some great buys I also received some sad and shocking news :smt022
Two of the biggest electrical stores in this city have had a turn of heart as far as game retailing goes. While one store had a good reason the other didn't. Let's start with Best Denki.
Best Denki or Best Electric in English did have a wonderful Games section that still even stocked original game boy stuff and Saturn games. Today I went to the shop for the first time in 1 month only to find that the entire games and DVD/CD section had been replaced by over stock washing machines and TVs from another Best Denki store. I asked the sales staff what had happened to all of the games. They told me that they are having a major refit this month and that the games would be back but in lower numbers :smt009 So I guess I just have to wait.
Next up is Applied. Now this shop has just been redone with new shelving ect. So today I entered looking for some cheap Dreamcast goodies. To my horror the Dreamcast games had gone :smt017 But Neo Geo Pocket was still there :smt017 :smt017 I asked the sales guy what had happened to the massive selection that they had. He told me that they now have a new manger. The sales guy was really nice and pointed out to me that they now stock no Sega goods at all. Even on the PS2 or Game Cube. "WTF !" I thought. Why is that? He told me that the manager is a Sony nut which explains why the PS2 stuff was everywhere and why Game Cube and the rest of the stuff was crammed in to the corner. He also told me that this manager had a dislike towards Sega. I asked to speak to this wanker of a manager, so the kind sales guy went to get him. 20 minutes latter this short smug little sh!t of a guy came out. I asked him why there where no Sega items on the shop floor, to which he replied "Sega's goods don't make us money so we didn't stock them". I then asked so where are the 100's of Dreamcast games that were here last week. He told me that they were in the back waiting to be sent off. Where to I don't know. So I asked if I could buy some cheap before they go. He said "NO" in English with a strong tone. I asked "why not?" so he said "because you western people will just sell them to your country" . I replied that I wanted the games for myself but he insisted that I was going to sell them. The fucking arse hole ! So I finally said In English because by this time I was too pissed off with the racist bastard " f*ck you then. You've just lost yourself 20'000 yen since that's what I've was going to spend" He replied "NO" again in English. The soft sh!t :snipe:
I'm never shopping in that place again. Tell me that I'm not the only one to have met such an arse hole of a manager. Other shops know that I sell stuff to other countries buy they welcome me every week because I give them much business. Hard Off even recommend stuff for me to sell over seas :smt023
