I saw it there on the board, but ...

Tampering with it at this point could cause trouble as it probably checks if it can burn fuses on every boot...

Remember, the slim uses a NEW CPU with a NEW BOOT ROM...

Or you could just bridge or remove it, if it doesn't boot just replace it... No sense in saying it wont work on a hunch there is only one way to know for sure :)

    quoted from synaptic on xdk-forum.com:
"picked up a retail slim today on 9199.. tore it apart..

traced the circuits and led me to R4R1...

with R4R1 removed 9199 boots without issues..
with resistor removed and booting with $systemupdate in usb slot to 13146 system does a few reboots and then errors out..
replaced r4r1 booted again it rebooted once (system update still in usb slot) continued the update and is sitting happily on 13146 atm..

I will confirm these findings once more when a new system update comes out .. "

    quoted from xXMODDINGxSINCEx96Xx on xdk-forums:
"i would like to inform you that the slim has the numbers changed and the r6t3 on this is for the ram. look at the cpu jtag header on the other side and you will see the same circuit as on the phat xbox 360's so also test with that. id try that first cuz there is nothing that connects to this resistor notice the missing ram blocks. so try my idea first so that you have something to test and not end up with a fucked up box. simply find out where all the races lead be fore taking apart"
