well it would go into my arcade machine, but i have a 60GB that has a totally fooked drive, but it runs SSFV Arcade Edition, and Tekken 6 etc without a drive so i have that running in it instead, and it has nice Force Unleashed Vinyl Graphics that i like on the 60 GB :)

Silly question time. This 60 GB model you've got that's bollocksed but runs the new SSFIV: AE and Tekken 6 without a drive, how's that possible? I'm assuming they're stored on the internal HDD but how do you launch the games? Is there an icon you click on like there is for PSN purchases etc and the game just boots?

Sorry if I'm coming across as a bit dim but I know nothing about the PS3 modding scene, along with the PC Engine the PS3 is the only system where I actually pay for the games.

Run through multiman, there still needs to be a funtioning BR drive (its just its ribbon connector is totally fooked, so all that activates is the laser luckily) . Anywa this is good enough for multiman and some games dont require a disc for boot, so u launch it using Shift and X.

Hope that helps. If u live near me you can always pop over i can show you

If you want the ribbon connector replacing, you just need to find one the right size (rs/farnell) and I can fit it.

I replace those type of connectors all the time.

    Edit:
    possibly this one? http://uk.farnell.com/hrs-hirose/fh2...way/dp/1518745
