Item(s): Dreamcast BIOS/piggyback switch, ML2032 & backbox (solderless battery replacement)
Time: September 2012
Feedback: Good if busy guy.
Only few gripes are I would have preferred the switch to have been mounted externally (requested before sending) but alas I agreed to have it internally to help him sort through his pile of other items quicker. I guess if I had gone for a toggle switch it would have been done NP, but toggle switches are evil and sliders make for a cleaner, tidier look :P I have since pushed the switch through controller port D to make the BIOS selector accessible without removing the Dreamcast lid but this means no 4 player action on this Dreamcast for the time being. Not to worry as I have several other Dreamcasts :P
Also at first power up it didnt work at all (!) but after a clean inside and out all is well.
The price was reasonable, but given as this machine has had previous work done it is my most expensive used Dreamcast to date, mostly due to having it shipped from member to member :P I would be more than happy to deal with Bad_Ad84 again, preferably when he is less busy, though if I hadn't broke both of my soldering irons I'd have saved on shipping and done the work myself.
In any case if you need any work doing which you are unable or unwilling to do yourself, Bad_Ad84 is more than capable of doing it for you ;)

Lets be fair - I told you I would fit a toggle switch and didn't want to cut your case for a slider. I then bought sliding switches (at £4 for 10 - which I didnt pass on to you at all) and only charged you £5 total in labour for the work - Everything else was shipping or parts AT COST.
It then turned out I didnt have any bolts for mounting the switch, which is why I asked if you could have it mounted internally. The repair then turned out to be a complete bitch and I spent 4 hours at no extra charge sorting it out.
After I did you a favour and earned a quid out of it - I think your post is a little harsh. For starters the price should be a little more than "reasonable", you got nearly 4 hours of labour and I got a quid "profit" and 9 switches out of the deal.
