    OK I will try that.

OK I did what you said (again)

    PSEXE.COM for caetla version 2.15E (c)1997-99 K-Comm.
    psexe.com -x printgpu.exe
    WAITING FOR CONNECTION

Thats all it does. Times out (IE: it just waits until I press CTRL + C)

This was set on the BIOS mode 'ECP+EPP'. Also tried it on SPP...

    WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!

I have spent a week of my time trying to get it to work re-installing Windows 98, ME, XP over and over!!!!!!

Leave caetla on the cart, otherwise stdio and pcdrv: fileserving cannot be used.

If that is what you tried, it wont work unless you set the environment variables in your autoexec.bat..

you need to tell psexe that you are using xlink/xplorer on LPT1.. did you try the commandline that I told you to earlier?

    PSEXE -P:10 DEMO.EXE
    or in this case...

    PSEXE -P:10 PRINTGPU.EXE

Who says that you have to use Windows to develop for the PlayStation?
I develop on NetBSD (when I do, recently I have done no PlayStation programming) with off the shelf stuff except for the modchip inside the PSX.

    I tried 'PSEXE -P:10 PRINTGPU.EXE'

    All I get is...

    PSEXE.COM for caetla version 2.15E (c)1997-99 K-Comm

... on the screen and nothing else.

I will try setting the BIOS from SPP to ECP etc and see what happens...

OK I tried all settings in the BIOS, cable is plugged in and everything should work.

Tried the code 'PSEXE -P:10 PRINTGPU.EXE' and it just sits there doing nothing while my Xplorer is frozen having to restart the PlayStation...

I'm lost and about to give up on this rubbish

Should I go and re-install a fresh clean copy of Windows 98 one last time instead of Windows ME or try a different motherboard?

I am using an old mini-atx Gigabyte motherboard on an Intel Celeron - 128 MB RAM. Only has PCI slots...

I have a Aspire / Acer motherboard with a Pentium 1 and 64 MB RAM I can use...

I have 2 gigabyte standard-atx board's with 2x ISA slots, but I do not have a case big enough yet.

I then have a REALLY old mainboard with 6 ISA slots and is running a Socket 4 or whatever. Has only one port. Keyboard. Floppy and parallel, HDD etc must go off of an ISA card I have. Also has that tiny RAM with the old lock system - haha.

THhe OP was asking about what they used with the original ISA cards etc.. plus there are more tools available for windows.

I am setting fedora up on my spare computer at home to try out your SDK, as someone has kindly ported the newer version of catflap over so you can use an xplorer with it, saves on burning CD's.

Does the port definitely work properly, have you checked the cable you are using to connect the two?

Also uploaded some .EXE's. Worked well and ran perfectly.

Thank you very much for all your help.

Glad it worked. Weird because the cable worked with my printer as an extension. I took images, and I will be posting them on my site soon.

Thanks again for your help and being so patient.
