    Attn Atomiswave Bootleg Cartridges

A couple of Chinese companies, Xing Le and San Star Ltd., have started manufacturing bootleg Atomiswave games. They're selling the games directly for $50, but certain scammers are reselling them on for $200 on eBay and other forums.

The labels on the carts are off and the games themselves apparently have some graphical glitches. So far all the games feature the same serial number, so it's easy to tell them apart for the moment:

    MS6 3500510
    SSVI 3000086
    NGBC 1702636
    KOV 0901669
    DB 0701200
    RF 1401163
    GGI 1100342
    NW 1702036
    FOTNS 3400167
    KOFXI 3200964
    DFR 0601236

I urge Atomiswave owners to be very careful if they're in the market for some new games.

    :dammit:

What I find funner is the fact the scammers have bootlegged a couple of games that are probably cheaper to buy second hand then it would be to buy the bootleg and they did not bootleg any games which are really rare like Guilty Gear X 1.5 or the expensive The Rumblefish 2, but chose games like GG Isuka and KOF Neo Wave...

The list in real English and in alphabetical order

Demolish Fist (2003) - 0601236 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it...)
Dolphin Blue (2003) - 0701200 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it...)
    Fist of the Northstar (2005) - 3400167
Guilty Gear Isuka (2004) - 1100342 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it)
King of Fighters Neo Wave (2004) - 1702036 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it)
    King of Fighters XI (2005) - 3200964
Knights of Valour (2004) - 0901669 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it)
    Metal Slug 6 (2006)- 3500510
    Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (2005) - 1702636
The Rumble Fish (2004) - 1401163 (Note : The original has a holographic sticker on it)
    Samurai Shodown 6 (2005) - 3000086

I was ready to open the same thread

Take care to atomiswave cartridges auctions listed on ebay (Metal Slug 6 , Samurai Shodown VI , Dolphin Blue , Kinf of Fighters XI , etc...) they are probably from the same seller who has been banned from this forum.

    I'm not really interested in atomisware or anything but I've just got one question I'd really like to know the answer too, well, two;
    1) Is the port on the bottom of atomisware games the same as the GDROM on the DC connector?
    2) If so, atomisware games plugged into DC > Does it work? :D

    Great sarcy comment.
If you didn't know, atomiwave is based off a DC, how much was changed I don't know, hence why I'm asking.

My ps3 can also play ps2 games, both do have the same video cable connector aswell.

Yes, you are right, i am sure it would work if the connector would be the same, but unfortunally, the size on those is not the same.

Why dont you cut half of the cart connector on a naomi and try to insert an atomiswave cart there, it should work.

You can put some leds on the spare pins and on the other 2 empty connectors aswell, this would make a perfect picture to show at forums

Just reported the seller to eBay, but I'm sure they won't bother to do anything.

Sure the core parts are based on the naomi/dreamcast but you can't swap parts between the two. Further the atomiswave has a custom bios.

Nothing personal but it was a somewhat not well thought out question to ask in the first place.

I don't think, if we can compare , Atomiswave is more near than Ps2 hardware.

You are probably confusing with Naomi hardware who is almost strictly similar to the Dreamcast architectury.

Atomiswave is a striped down Naomi made by Sammy to make them cheaper then a Naomi.

They are not a ps2 in any way.

It is also nicely fully JAMMA and has a VGA output so you can play either in high or low resolution without the stupid number of sub boards and PSUs you need for a Naomi set up.

It didn't seem to last very long though. The only Atomiswave game I ever cared about was Metal Slug 6.

My NAOMI2 has a VGA out directly on the board without the need for a sub-board too.

You need other boards for it to work though, you cant just hook it up to a cabinet without the IO boards and such (The Naomi 2 that is)

Atomiswave was made with left over Dreamcast components. It features less memory then the Naomi but features the same architecture although stripped down somewhat.
