Someone offered me a SN64 dev kit. I'd really like to add this rare piece of hardware to my collection. However I'm only interested in playing games. Is it possible to upload roms to the SN64?

If you want to upload ROMs use a Z64, CD64 or a V64.
The best option would the be v64jr, since it's the only one that supports 512MB. However, I think they are hard to find.

I fail to see how the Everdrive will be a best option, he's doing nothing but trying to offer a product that's lacking in features, but at a lower price, for people who can't afford the 64drive. I'm not trying to down the guy or anything, but I'm not fond of any of his products, if I wanted something half done, I'd just buy a Neo Myth.
I come off as an arrogant jerk sometimes, feel free to bring me back down to level when that happens; however, it's not intentional most of the time.

That's why Alchy is saying to wait as an option.
Neo Myth is pretty overpriced if you ask me.
I can't see anything wrong with going for a SN64, besides it's a devkit too :)
I´m going to meet mdmx tomorrow! :-)
He already owns all the older copiers like V64, CD64 (he got mine), V64jr and Wildcard V64. Additionally he owns a N64 Neo Myth.
Personally I think a SN64 develpment kit would be a great for his collection. All he wanted to know is if it is possible to play commercial games with this device...
The NeoMyth supports 512Mbit from flash. If you have the Neo2-Pro, it supports 256Mbit from SD card. If you have the Neo2-SD, it only supports 128Mbit from SD (the Neo2-SD has half the psram as the Neo2-Pro). There is supposed to be a drop in the price soon - probably a response to the competition coming out soon.
However, the Everdrive64 looks like it will be better. At the very least, it loads faster. That's the problem with the SD port being part of the GBA cart for the Myth - you have to use the CPU to do all the data transfer, which means you are limited by the N64 cart bus speed... which is pretty slow.
